The Social Democratic Party (Spanish: Partido Socialdemócrata) is a Prasian centre-left and progressive political party. It is the currently the largest Prasian political party by membership numbers and representation in Congress. The incumbent President and Prime Minister, Sofia Gimenez and Cristian Ramirez, are both members of the party. The party has been described as a "broad church", with beliefs within the party ranging between social liberalism to socialism.
The Social Democratic Party was formed in 1983 by a merger between the Socialist Party and the Liberal Party. It was founded by a group of several leading figures in these parties, including Luis Rodriguez.
